All services need a pre booked appointment.

All grooming is carried out on the ground floor, far away from any other animal to keep stress levels low. All grooming is done by Cassy & Lily, the owners of F&T. One will safely hold your parrot and the other performs the grooming service

Bring your bird in an enclosed pet carrier

Bring a suitable sized towel for handling

Nail Clippling

We always assess nails on appointment and will only remove the necessary amount.

DNA sexing

We collect samples, either through blood collection (trimming the nail a little too short) or through feather sample collection (plucking 4 feathers from the chest/butt area) then we send the samples off to an external labs we work with.

DISEASE TESTING

We can test for Psittacine beak and feather disease and Avian Polyomavirus.

We carry this out on our ground floor, away from other animals. We have a strict procedure whilst doing this test to ensure accurate results and for the safety of other birds onsite.

Please note: we will only do this test in store on birds that have no visual signs of PBFD or APV, to rule them out from being a carrier. If you think your bird may have PBFD or APV please contact an avian vet. An over the phone consultation will be needed before booking.
